Well now the weather is starting to cool off a little, my thoughts turn to how to make my home snug and cosy. I love making big pots of soup, stews and casseroles, and in dunking chunks of sourdough liberally spread with goats cheese. I can highly recommend this Chicken and White Bean Soup by Gary Mehigan – really, really good and filling!
Cooler weather also means flanelette pajamas and sheets (Miss Grace has hers on already!), hot mugs of sweet tea and long baths with a good book. An open bottle of red wine perhaps…
Warming our house we currently have the Queen Anne “Manor Roses” in Pink Peony burning – it is absolutely gorgeous and simply had to be plucked from the online store for myself! Sorry to disappoint anyone. A few of our other scents which are ideal for warming up a home on a cool night are White Tea and Ginger – a lovely warm and spicy blend. The refreshing Green Tea and Lemongrass is also lovely.
So tell me, what are your tips for staying warm and cosy now that the weather is cooling off?
